Meetings
Meeting 1 Notes:
After much debate we came up with the following plan:
Joe acting as the developer wanted 200 acres to build 400 houses and eventually agreed to only build 300 because the county planner represented by the group as a whole preferred it. He wanted to build the houses near the water for a nice view but Jess insisted he distance the homes from the water to avoid pollution that would upset the environmentalists. The ranchers decided to collaboratively buy 100 acres of the ranch land and agreed to graze their animals on half the 15,000 allotment for five years and then switch to grazing on the other half for five years to allow for regrowth. This was okay with the ranchers because their additional 100 acres would allow them to own more cattle. The remaining 340 acres will be sold to Blake Worstcase pending email confirmation.
Meeting 2 Notes:
To better accomodate the ranchers we changed the grazing rotations in to thirds as will be further explained in the paper. We then split up the paper. Joe wrote the intro and conclusion, Liza wrote the decision, and Jess wrote what we learned and the problems we faced. We then all wrote our own reflections as the people we were representing.
Meeting 3:
We could print the parts of the paper that we've posted and edit and work on combining them in class on Fri. if that works.
When should we meet?
