Michael Chiang: Great attention getter as well as the preview of what your speech was going to be about. Your transitions were great along with your tone and eye contact.

Alex: You have really amazing organization. You hit every main point, and spoke very clearly as well as to the audience. The only thing I really have to say is maybe next time you could be a little bit more enthusiastic about the topic

Derek: You set the scene well with your intro, had good speed and projection, so good job there. You gave a good amount of facts showing that you researched the topic, which showed your credibility very well. The only thing you can work on for the next speech is try not to use your notes when giving the speech as much, which will help you get more eye contact, Good Job

Carolyn: Your speech was very well written and organized. You had a very nice descriptive introduction, and maintained a great pace throughout your speech. You also had good volume and seemed very confident. You gave a great overview of the situation of Pearl Harbor to get to your exigence without getting too much into the content. A little more eye contact would be nice, but overall I think your speech was very very well written and delivered.

Joe DeArmitt: Great speech, it was hard to follow one like yours but you didn' let that affect you. You had a good tone, good conclusion, and a great use of sources. The only thing I would have done different that didn't effect your grade was make sure your hair is out of your eyes.

Sarah Dunning: You used really good citations! You had a really great opening and you were really well spoken. I think you could use a bit more eye contact because yours seemed a bit sparatic throughout the speech. Other than that, you seemed as though you really knew your info and you had great transitions, good vocab and wording, and good transitional words. Overall, great great!

Liz Peters: Great speech! You did well with eye contact and had a clear speaking voice, just watch that you don't speak too fast. At the end of each topic you seemed to speed up a little to get to the next point. I really liked your exigence and thought you chose good topics to talk about.

Scot Brown: You claim that this was the first time American soil had been invaded by a friendly country (then qualify this by mentioning Ft Sumter). But this is wrong on two counts. First, don't forget that the British quite successfully invaded America during the war of 1812. Second, tho say that we were in "good standing" with the Japanese prior to the Pearl Harbor attack is also false. Tensions were quite strained, and had been building for twenty years prior. The U.S. stopping trade with Japan before the attack, essentially putting our countries at war, also did not help feelings. But other than those few historical details, good job.
